This is actually another art challenge thing that I never got around to finishing. I found it again today while cleaning my desktop and figured this is as finished as it would get. I really don’t like doing self portraits, so I did some unflattering facial expressions for practice lol
challenge #12. Traditional. Scetch, lineart, colour. Use an hour or more for every step. Self portrait time!
Art challenge number 14. Cg/traditional draw a face, male or female. Design a decorative makeup/tattoo to decorate the face
Oh boy, faces and bust shots with no backgrounds? The only thing I know how to do decently??
I started out with one lady face but decided it was too simple, so I made three more! I tried to practice facial variations as well.
Challenge #10: Draw an Imaginary object
I sketched up these quick little fantasy helmet and weapon concepts. Had the Milmo game in mind when I was thinking these up. Two of the helmets are updated helmets from old characters of mine
Ten challenges down, 90 more to go…..yikes. haha
uhhhhhhh This is Challenge #9 (CG a black and white piece) and it will never be finished…..
This is the epidemy of my comfort zone regarding art: burn and dodge, flowy cape things, no backgrounds etc. pffft
The cool character here belongs to Coey <33333

TRUE STORY
I didn’t bother correcting him I just laughed at him. Sorry dude I’m never going to forget this!
Art Challenge #6 “Draw a short comic of 3-7 panels”
While I didn’t necessarily challenge myself all to much with this, I’m not very good with coming up with any clever story of my own. So in the end I opted for a journal comic piece. I am really envious of anyone who is able to do sequential art, webcomics, journal-comics, etc. Someday I’d love to start a webcomic of my own, I use to have one back in highschool (went for well over 100 pages too!) and although it wasn’t the best it was a lot of fun bringing my characters to life! So maybe I’ll try making more journal comics and seeing how that goes.
Weekly challenge number 2!
2. Draw something with a stereotypically feminine theme or style. (Flowers, pastel colours, beautiful subjects?)
what’s more stereotypically feminine than the shoujo magical school girl? SAILOR MOOOOON. This is sketchier than I’d like it and the hands really suck but oh well. Tons of fun to draw!
Alright so, I’m starting up the 2011 art challenge list. I’m doing the challenges alongside my friend Patches (and possibly Co??) and we will be trying our hardest to complete the list and hopefully improve because of it. Might change some of the challenges if they seem kinda boring or pointless but other than that we are going in order with this premade list.
After re-reading the challenge I forgot a key element, which is different coloring styles and colors. oops.
1. Draw an image, copy it three times and colour each differently/with different colours. Bonus!: use different media for each.
This is an art prompt my friends created “Redo an old piece of art” Which I think this might be one of the prompts of the 100 tasks challenges that I posted earlier as well.
I’m putting the 100 tasks on hold for now~
This is the old piece, I did it around the time I was a freshmen in Highschool: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v163/Zoroko/Untitled-6.jpg
He looked like a faggy animu pirate before, so I tried to make him uglier and gruff for the remake.
