GLaDOS gijinka that I keep revising, I’ll be happy with the design eventually. I’m pretty set on the upper parts, not really set on the boots and all the wires…

Don’t usually post cosplay/crafting stuff on this blog but I’ve been far too busy to draw anything lately. Searching for apartments is stressful, and I’ve got an internship starting on the 20th! I was at Ohayocon this past weekend and I debuted my Caroline (Portal 2) costume there. This was very spontaneous project that I did in the span of 2-3 days (probably shows). Done entirely for my own enjoyment as I love the game but don’t have the time or money to invest in a Chell cosplay yet. 

These quick shots were taken by my sister. Arg my legs look like hams and the seams pucker a little…but I am generally happy with it despite it being a quick dress (it’s fully lined and everything, and I love how the neck line came out). 

Expect art soon, I have to finish up a couple commissions and do some tegaki work~ 

THIS LOOKED COOLER IN  MY HEAD. Some ugly quick concept scribbles of a more humanized GLaDOS. I like my android GLaDOS but I wanted to see what I could come up with if I made her look more human. And I like the possibility of cosplaying this or the more complex design…but that’s the last thing on my mind right now haha. (I will be cosplaying Caroline soon though, probably at Youmacon if I have time) I chose this kind of hair to mimic Caroline’s hair for this instead of going with a makani GLaDOS cut that seems to be the trend nowa days (which is awesome btw don’t get me wrong, I think short hair suits the character more actually). 

Decided to do another GLaDOS human/android piece, this time making it into something with slightly more effort. I really like drawing her like this, it’s fun~ Like the rest of my sketches, I tried to incorporate as much of GLaDOS’s official design into this human/android version as much as possible. Zoro, your GLaDOS personification is so cooooooool, I love that she’s still half robot, and ah, way to reprise the details of her original design, NICE. Lots of fun to draw, and I’ve been meaning to draw some Portal fanart, so huzzah.

More quick Tegaki doodles.  My Glados android/human design, and hawks wheatley

I wish my quick doodles actually looked pretty, buuut…nope! lolol have some chicken scratch….

So initially I wasn’t going to post this until I got the front and backside completed, but I got excited and decided to post this profile view now anyway. Still not sure if this design is set in stone for me 100%, but I think it’s getting pretty close to what I invisioned. Each piece of this design is an interpretation from parts of the in-game model of Glados~  The shell I tried to make a little more insect like.. “queen bee- head honcho” etc

She is standing up here, but I figured she would attach to the ceiling every now and then. And in that state the backside shell piece would swivel to her frontside…

Please ignore the ugly text, maybe I should leave it out next time lmao~

now to move on to the body design~

Figures the more I try to finalize a design, the worse looking it gets. I kind of like how her head shape looked before this sketch, But I only had a Portal1 ref of glados on hand for that sketch. Anyone have some good portal2 glados ref? (specifically the head since it’s the only thing that seems to change) 

might switch it back to how it was in the first sketch.

Just a Glados design that has been floating in my head for a while now, just a quick sketch nothing special. I might revisit it again when i have time, or redraw a better design. I just want to sit around and draw fanart all day but I’ve got no time lately!

This is more robot/android than human design though~ lol
